A market you could not sell into before.
This software already runs a rental company.
dodorent was built inside Niklaus Baugeräte GmbH, a German company that has rented out construction equipment since 1968. That company went live on this software in January 2025 and has run its whole operation on it since then. dodorent is a separate company, run by three people: Daniel Pommranz, Elias Niklaus and Jort de Vreeze.

Rental is a segment Odoo does not reach on its own.
Plant hire, event and container fleets plan by the day, not by the order line. Odoo’s rental app stops well before what those companies do every morning, so the deal stalls in the demo.
Rental companies in your region that no Odoo partner could serve properly. Most still run on spreadsheets or a rental system from the nineties.
Implementation, data migration, training and first-level support stay with you, and so does that revenue. We do not sell services to your customer.
A rental company does not only buy rental. Accounting, purchase, maintenance, fleet, field service and payroll come with the project.
One system, not an interface. dodorent is built inside Odoo, so the rental side and the rest of the ERP share the same customers, products and journals.
One product, two ways it pays you.
dodorent is not a single add-on. It is built from several Odoo apps. A customer who runs dodorent cannot stay on One App Free. They need a paid Odoo subscription on a plan that allows our modules to be installed. That subscription is your Odoo business.
Your normal Odoo commission on the Odoo subscription that dodorent makes necessary, including the renewals.
The implementation project, the data migration, the training and first-level support — in a segment you could not quote before.

You keep all of your project revenue. We never quote services to a company you brought in.
Where we sell direct, and where we stop.
Every partner asks this in the first ten minutes, so it is written down instead of promised.
-
01
Deal registration. Send us the company name. We confirm it by email.
-
02
Pass-through. When a rental company contacts us and you are our partner in that country, we hand the enquiry to you. We do not keep end-customer demand for ourselves.
How we ship.
Your name is in front of your customer, not ours. So here is what you can hold us to, in writing, before you sign anything.
-
Version
dodorent runs on Odoo 19.
-
First level
Yours. Your customer calls you.
-
Second level
Ours. You open a ticket. We tell you what we found, not only that we are looking.
-
Escalation
If a ticket blocks your customer's daily operation, you call +49 162 2338552. One of the three of us picks up.
-
Source code
If we stop, partners get the module source so they can keep their customers running.
-
Price changes
Prices for a running subscription are fixed for the contract year. Changes take effect at renewal and are announced at least three months in advance.
What this is built for. And what it is not built for yet.
Our numbers come from one kind of business: yard-based short-term rental of construction equipment in Germany. Machines leave the yard for days or weeks, come back, get checked for damage, and get invoiced. That is the loop the software is good at, because that is the loop it was built inside.
-
Built for
Yard-based short-term rental of construction equipment and similar machines.
-
Also close
Tools, site equipment, containers, access platforms - same loop, same yard.
-
Not proven yet
Event and AV rental, medical equipment, film, long-term leasing, and fleets that cross borders during a rental.
We will say this in the demo as well. We would rather lose a deal now than have you explain a gap to your customer in month three.
Partner enablement: 1 500 EUR once. Waived this year.
The fee covers getting you ready, not getting your customer ready. It is the same offer for every partner and it has a printed end date. There is nothing to negotiate.
- Two days of remote onboarding for your team.
- A sandbox database with demo data.
- The technical documentation: module list, dependencies, install path.
- Access to the partner channel, where you reach us directly.
1 500 EUR
Waived for partners who sign before 31 December 2026.
What partners ask us.
What exactly do I install?
Why not use the community modules?
In which languages does it run?
What if dodorent stops?
Is the Odoo subscription included?
Can I see the system that produced those 13,628 rental orders?
