For Odoo partners

A market you could not sell into before.

dodorent is rental software built from several Odoo apps. It puts rental companies within reach of an Odoo project. You sell it, you implement it, you support the first level.

No form in front of the details. How we ship, where we sell direct and what we expect of you is on this page. You can decide in one minute whether a thirty-minute demo is worth your time.

This software already runs a rental company.

dodorent was built inside Niklaus Baugeräte GmbH, a German company that has rented out construction equipment since 1968. That company went live on this software in January 2025 and has run its whole operation on it since then. dodorent is a separate company, run by three people: Daniel Pommranz, Elias Niklaus and Jort de Vreeze.

Why this is worth your time

Rental is a segment Odoo does not reach on its own.

Equipment yards run on availability, not on stock.

Plant hire, event and container fleets plan by the day, not by the order line. Odoo’s rental app stops well before what those companies do every morning, so the deal stalls in the demo.

A segment that was closed

Rental companies in your region that no Odoo partner could serve properly. Most still run on spreadsheets or a rental system from the nineties.

The whole ERP, not one app

A rental company does not only buy rental. Accounting, purchase, maintenance, fleet, field service and payroll come with the project.

One system, not an interface. dodorent is built inside Odoo, so the rental side and the rest of the ERP share the same customers, products and journals.

Revenue

One product, two ways it pays you.

dodorent is not a single add-on. It is built from several Odoo apps. A customer who runs dodorent cannot stay on One App Free. They need a paid Odoo subscription on a plan that allows our modules to be installed. That subscription is your Odoo business.

Stream one

Your normal Odoo commission on the Odoo subscription that dodorent makes necessary, including the renewals.

Stream two

The implementation project, the data migration, the training and first-level support — in a segment you could not quote before.

And we never sell services to your customer. The project is yours alone.

We do not sell services to your customer.

Implementation, data migration, training and first-level support stay with you.

You do
  • discovery
  • implementation
  • data migration
  • training
  • first-level support
  • the invoice to your customer
We do
  • the product
  • second-level support
  • bug fixes
  • the version work

You keep all of your project revenue. We never quote services to a company you brought in.

Channel rule

Where we sell direct, and where we stop.

Every partner asks this in the first ten minutes, so it is written down instead of promised.

  • 01

Deal registration. Send us the company name. We confirm it by email.

  • 02

Pass-through. When a rental company contacts us and you are our partner in that country, we hand the enquiry to you. We do not keep end-customer demand for ourselves.

Commitments

How we ship.

Who does what, and what happens if we stop.

Your name is in front of your customer, not ours. So here is what you can hold us to, in writing, before you sign anything.

  • Version

    dodorent runs on Odoo 19.

  • First level

    Yours. Your customer calls you.

  • Second level

Ours. You open a ticket. We tell you what we found, not only that we are looking.

  • Escalation

If a ticket blocks your customer's daily operation, you call +49 162 2338552. One of the three of us picks up.

  • Source code

If we stop, partners get the module source so they can keep their customers running.

  • Price changes

Prices for a running subscription are fixed for the contract year. Changes take effect at renewal and are announced at least three months in advance.

Fit

What this is built for. And what it is not built for yet.

Our numbers come from one kind of business: yard-based short-term rental of construction equipment in Germany. Machines leave the yard for days or weeks, come back, get checked for damage, and get invoiced. That is the loop the software is good at, because that is the loop it was built inside.

  • Built for

Yard-based short-term rental of construction equipment and similar machines.

  • Also close

Tools, site equipment, containers, access platforms - same loop, same yard.

  • Not proven yet

Event and AV rental, medical equipment, film, long-term leasing, and fleets that cross borders during a rental.

We will say this in the demo as well. We would rather lose a deal now than have you explain a gap to your customer in month three.

Questions

What partners ask us.

What exactly do I install?
A set of Odoo modules on top of Odoo 19. You get the module list, the dependencies, the install path and the licence terms in writing - before the demo call ends, not after you sign.
Why not use the community modules?
You can. The question is who answers when a return workflow breaks in your customer's peak season. With dodorent that is us, on a named Odoo version.
In which languages does it run?
The Odoo interface is translated by Odoo. In the demo we show you exactly which screens of our own are not translated yet.
What if dodorent stops?
If we stop, partners get the module source so they can keep their customers running. That clause is in the partner terms, not in a promise.
Is the Odoo subscription included?
The Odoo subscription is not included and never appears on our invoice — you sell it as you always do. Hosting is not included either, but we run it ourselves, in the EU, and bill it separately. The rates are on the pricing page.
Can I see the system that produced those 13,628 rental orders?
Yes. That is what the demo is. Customer data is removed, the workflow is not.
